(07:41) MONTEREY COUNTY – Officers from law enforcement agencies across Monterey County are slated to participate in the annual Special Olympics Torch Run this week. Participating agencies include the Salinas Police Department, the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office and the California Highway Patrol. Beginning Tuesday at 10 a.m., the torch will be carried from Salinas City Hall, through Oldtown Salinas, then passed on in front of Gino’s Restaurant. The torch will then make its way through the Monterey Peninsula. (S.G.)
