(15:30) SALINAS- A person has been hospitalized after being struck by a train in Salinas Sunday. Authorities say the incident occurred shortly before noon near Abbot Street when the victim was struck by a southbound Amtrak train. The victim was transported to an area hospital. At this time their condition is unknown.
