(09:00) MONTEREY COUNTY – Monterey County officials have identified the two victims who died in a head-on collision in Moss Landing earlier this month. The incident occurred on the night of June 4th on Highway 1 just south of Jensen Road. Officials say 33-year-old Jose German Sanchez was attempting to pass another vehicle when he crossed the double yellow lines and crashed into a car carrying 34-year-old Jessica Carrillo and four girls. Both Carillo and Sanchez were pronounced dead shortly after. The passengers in Carillo’s vehicle were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. (S.G.)
