(08:50) SOUTH SAN JOSE – One person was killed in a solo car crash on northbound Highway 101 early Friday morning. The incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m. near Blossom Hill Road in South San Jose. Officials say the driver lost control and drove off the road. The vehicle then crashed into a tree and caught fire. The crash prompted officers to close down the roadway for several hours. The incident is under investigation. (S.G.)
