(08:16) SALINAS – Law enforcement agencies across Monterey County have received over $1.5 million in grants in a statewide effort to build stronger bonds between officers and the communities they serve. The California Board of State and Community Corrections has awarded the funds to the County Sheriff’s Office as well as the police departments in Salinas, Gonzales, Soledad, Greenfield and King City. The grants will be used to implement programs that focus on molding a culture of positivity, trust, and inclusion between law enforcement agencies and the community. (S.G.)
