(10:00) SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating an armed robbery and attempted carjacking that occurred Wednesday morning. Officials say an armed individual robbed a man on Sunny Cove Beach around 7:45. Ten minutes later, a driver reported being approached by an armed male near 24th and 25th streets. He then attempted to steal the car at gunpoint. Deputies detained a suspect following a search in the Live Oak area. The investigation is ongoing.
