(08:44) MONTEREY COUNTY, SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – A state agency has awarded a grant to improve watersheds in Santa Cruz and Monterey counties. The Coastal Conservancy is contributing around $1 million to fund the Integrated Watershed Restoration Program. The program focuses on restoration projects that aim to protect natural resources. Conservationists in Santa Cruz and Monterey counties plan to use the funds for removing invasive plants, endangered species recovery, and wetlands restoration. (S.G.)
