(17:00) PRUNEDALE – A Sexually Violent Predator may soon be living in Prunedale. Eldridge Lindsey Chaney, Junior (who was convicted of raping several women, and a 16 year-old girl) is slated to be housed at 780 El Camino Real North, while he takes part in the Transitional Release Program, (which is a continuation of the State Sex Offender Program he has been part of since 2000). A Community Meeting is scheduled to be held next Tuesday (July 14), to hear public comments on Chaney’s potential placement in Prunedale. The meeting is to be held at the First Baptist Church of Prunedale at 17716 Pesante Road, starting at 7 p-m. A Court Hearing regarding Chaney’s placement is scheduled to begin at 3 p-m August 5, in Department 1 of the Monterey County Court House.
