The incident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. at the intersection of Madeira Avenue and Market Street. A man driving a Lincoln reportedly crashed into a Toyota minivan before fleeing the scene on foot. The man’s passenger, 24-year-old Yesenia Romero, was transported to the hospital with severe injuries. She was pronounced dead shortly after. Investigators are seeking 21-year-old Anthony Seven Bouchereau in connection with the incident. Anyone with information is to contact Salinas police.
