(17:27)- SCOTTS VALLEY- A brush fire broke out near Mount Hermon Road and Highway 17 during the afternoon commute Yesterday (Thursday) afternoon. At about 4:15 p.m. Scotts Valley Fire fighters assisted by air tankers battled a fire next to the northbound lanes of Highway 17. The fire was fully contained within an hour. The cause of the fire is being investigated.
