(07:55) Santa Cruz – The Santa Cruz County Bomb Squad responded and rendered a suspicious package safe at the East Cliff Village shopping center on Saturday. The box was labeled “High Explosives Dangerous”. Deputies and CHP temporarily closed a small portion of East Cliff Drive between 14th Avenue and 16th Avenue, while the bomb squad investigated the box. Authorities reported that the package was found to be a wooden box filled with various, non threatening, items.
