(13:05) SANTA CRUZ – The National Weather Service released a coastal hazard message for Santa Cruz beaches today. A long period of southwesterly swell is bringing an increased risk of rip currents and large shore break along the south facing beaches of Santa Cruz County. The Strong rip currents and large shore breaks could continue until 9 p.m.
