(18:03) SALINAS – Beginning today, the Monterey County Elections Department will mail the ballots for the Greenfield Fire Protection District Election. This is a special tax measure election, which will take place August 25. The Ballots can be returned by mail, or in person at the Greenfield Civic Center and the Monterey County Elections Office. Ballots returned in person must be received by the Elections Official by 8 p.m. on August 25, and ballots returned via mail must be postmarked no later than Election Day and received by 5 p.m. on Friday August 28.
