(10:25) SALINAS – The Salinas Public Library has been awarded a grant for their summer reading program. The 50 Fund, which which was founded by the San Francisco Bay area Super Bowl 50 Host Committee awarded the library program $15,000. With the funding the program will purchase two push carts which will be used to circulate materials in neighborhoods county-wide. People will be able to check out items as well as apply for a library card at the carts. The funds will also be used for special event programming such as spoken word activities or lectures in the park.
