(06:35) BOULDER CREEK – A fund has been created to support the family of a Boulder Creek teenager who was fatally shot by deputies last week. 17-year-old Cyrus Hurtado barricaded himself inside his family’s Fern Avenue home Thursday night after reportedly beating his grandfather and killing a kitten. Hurtado damaged property inside the house before emerging with a rifle. He aimed the gun at deputies, prompting them to open fire. The teenager was pronounced dead the following morning. The residence sustained considerable damage during the incident.
