(13:18) SANTA CRUZ – The Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter will encourage the community to celebrate its new “Adopt a Chihuahua Project,” at the “Wine and Chi’s” event next Thursday. This new initiative seeks to find homes for the large numbers of Chihuahua mix dogs that flood the shelter. The event will take place at the dog-friendly tasting room at Odonata Winery located on Mission Street in Santa Cruz. Odonata Winery will donate 15-percent of the proceeds from this event to SCCAS.
