A Monterey county man was hospitalized with an accidental self inflicted gunshot wound Sunday afternoon. Authorities say that shortly before 4 p.m. deputies responded to a report of a gunshot victim at the Laguna Seca Shooting Sports Association, where a man had accidentally shot himself in the chest after unknowingly catching the trigger with a prosthetic limb. The victim was transported to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
