(08:06) SANTA CRUZ COUNTY – The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has awarded a grant to the Santa Cruz County Office of Education to support a school program. The organization has given the agency over $800,000 to fund the Santa Cruz County College Commitment, which aims to help all students successfully meet their personal college and career goals. Last year, the foundation gave the agency a $150,000 planning grant to establish a teachers advisory committee, an operations team, and launch a high school and higher education joint committee of math educators.
