A man accused of drugging, and raping, people has been denied “jail release”. John Fickas’ attorney told the judge that Fickas needed to be released because the Monterey County Jail could not meet Fickas’ medical needs. A representative from the jail said that if Fickas supplies the jail with his needed medication, they will meet his needs. Based on that information, the judge denied the “general release quest”.
