AN OAKLAND WOMAN, ACCUSED OF HITTING A SOQUEL BUSINESS OWNER AND THEN FLEEING THE SCENE, HAS PLEADED NOT GUILTY. 29 YEAR-OLD JOANNA STEELE IS BELIEVED TO HAVE BEEN THE DRIVER WHO FLED THE SCENE OF THE ACCIDENT ON PACIFIC AVENUE THAT FATALLY INJURED ADOLF GALVAN AUGUST 24TH. GALVAN, WHO LIVED IN LAS LOMAS, WAS THE OWNER OF FARGO GLASS IN SOQUEL. HE IS SURVIVED BY 3 DAUGHTERS AND 3 GRANDCHILDREN. STEELE IS DUE BACK IN A SANTA CRUZ COUNTY SUPERIOR COURT ROOM NOVEMBER 7TH TO CONFIRM HER NOVEMBER 10TH HEARING DATE.
