(06:40) Santa Cruz County – A manhunt for a Scotts Valley bank robbery suspect gridlocked commuter roadways yesterday (Thursday). The incident began when the 10 a-m armed robbery turned into a car chase with an exchange of gunfire on Highway 17. The Highway was closed at 11 a.m. while a manhunt was underway in the Redwood Estates area. Commuter traffic delays were several hours long on all alternate routes. All lanes on HWY 17 have been reopened as of 8:30 last night. The suspect remains at large.
