(07:45) Salinas – A man is in stable condition after an attempted homicide in Salinas. The incident took place last night (Sunday) night near Chin’s Market at North Main and Rossi Street. A 29-year old male victim was found with multiple stab wounds to his upper body. The victim was uncooperative, but officers found a blood trail that led from the scene, up the stairs and to the front door of a house nearby. 26 year-old Eric Lara was found inside covered in blood. Lara is on parole and was booked into Monterey County Jail on Attempted Murder and parole violation. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and is expected to survive.
