(14:56) SALINAS- The Salinas Police Department is investigating the first shooting of 2016. Officials say the incident took place around 11 p.m. Friday, near Rainier Drive and Amador Circle. Police were dispatched to the scene to investigate reports of a Latino male driver shot several times in the head. The victim survived the attack and was transported to the hospital in unknown condition. Anyone with information is asked to contact Salinas police.
