The music program at Salinas’s Everett Alvarez High School has been given some new instruments. The gift of a new tuba, marimba, double-french horn, and bass clarinet, was given last week, by the Monterey Branch of Fidelity Investments. The gift is worth about 20-thousand dollars, and was given as part of program begun by Fidelity Investments in 2006 to help local arts programs.
