Dr. Joel Wallach

A biomedical research pioneer, Dr. Joel D. Wallach spent more than 40 years in the field of Veterinary Medicine, observing and researching the effects of individual nutrients on animal health, before becoming a Naturopathic Physician in 1982. Today, Dr. Wallach is renowned for his groundbreaking research on the health benefits of selenium and other minerals. He currently dedicates his time to lecturing throughout the world on the therapeutic benefits of vitamins and minerals, and on lobbying the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on behalf of the dietary supplement industry.

Dr. Wallach has been appearing recently with George Noory on Coast to Coast AM.

Dr. Joel Wallach begins the show today discussing mass shooters. Stating that most all of these mass shooters have previously exhibited questionable behavior. Contending that everyone should have to have a hair analysis before they could buy a firearm. Asserting that all of the shooters have nutrient deficiencies. If these people had a hair analysis then we would know that they shouldn't be sold a weapon.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a study of diet soda drinkers. A study of over 82,000 women ages 50-79 found that 5.1% of the women were drinking two or more artificially sweeted beverages a day. That group was determined to have a 23% higher risk of a stroke and a 29% higher risk of heart disease. The same group were 16% more likely to die of any cause compared to the other group.

The study found that eating ultraprocessed foods was linked to a 14% higher risk of death over the 7 year study period. Stating that to live a long life people need to avoid the bad foods and supplement with all 90 essential nutrients. These nutrients can be found the "Healthy Start Pack". Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article concerning a Harvard Medical School study on colon cancer. The study found that women who were given antibiotics for an extended period of time (more than two weeks) had an increased risk of developing colon cancer. Women who were given antibiotics for two months in their 20s and 30% had a 36% increased risk of colon cancer compared to women who didn't take the drugs. Women who were given extended antibiotics in their 40s and 50s had even a greater risk of developing colon cancer.

Stating that at one time illness was thought to be caused by evil spirits. Once bacteria was discovered that was the cause of all sickness. So and so forth up until now when medical doctors think everything is genetic.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article about a study of over one million patients. Researchers analyzed 25 peer reviewed studies of vitamin consumption. Finding that those who consumed vitamins particularly vitamins D and B12 had a reduced risk of pancreatic cancer. Risk reduced by 25 and 27 percent respectively.

Supposedly to prevent SIDs (sudden infant deaths) by not allowing babies to sleep on their stomachs. Doc contends that the main stream medical industry has the cause of SIDs all wrong. Asserting that SIDs are caused by cardiomyopathy heart attacks due to a single nutrient deficiency.
