The study found that a blend of herb extracts performed better than the generic version of Celebrex at pain managment. The product contained an extract of turmeric combined with an extract of boswellia. Both have long used used as a traditional treatment of arthritis pain.

Contending that the MDs have legislated themselves into a monopoly on healthcare. Asserting that no other industry could get away with hurting so many of their customers.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news story on medical malpractice payments. Researchers at Johns Hopkins Medical Center looked at 25 years of U.S. malpractice claim payouts. Between 1986 to 2010 these penalty payouts amounts to $38.8 billion in that time frame. Finding that the leading type of claim accounted for 28.6% of the total. Diagnostic errors was the biggest portion these errors translated to missed diagnosis, wrong or delayed diagnosis.

Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing his work with cystic fibrosis. Contending that it is not a genetic disorder as MDs believe but a selenium deficiency. In fact Doc was able to creat monkeys with cystic fibrosis by withholding selenium from the mother's diet. However that only got him fired from the Yerkes Primate institute because they wanted grant money.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news story regarding a study by the NIH (National Institute of Health). Researchers found that women with at least 20 nanograms per milliliters of vitamin D in their blood had a 32% lower risk of developing uterine fibroids. Each increase of 10 nanograms per milliliter in vitamin D was associated with a 20% lower risk of fibroids.

Scott Harrington using improperly sterilized equipment infected 57 patients with hepatitis C, 3 with hepatitis B at least one tested positive for HIV. More than 7000 patients were sent letters informing them of their possible risk of infection.

Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing cystic fibrosis. Citing the story of how he was able to create cystic fibrosis in monkeys and then used nutritional supplements to reverse symptoms. When he presented his data to his employers at the Yerkes Primate Institute in Atlanta, GA he was fired. Contending that most in the medical industry are more interested in fund raising than actually curing patients.

Doc asserts the data is skewed because the researchers only looked at obituaries from the New York Times. Contending that average people were less likely to get their obituary in the New York Times than famous people.
