The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

          This Commentary is in my book.  I wrote it in April 2007, and I am sorry to say that it is relevant today.

          As an American Jewess, I find it painful, albeit necessary to help expose the shocking truth that there are in our midst self-hating Jews who are U.C. professors who are vigorously promoting extinction of the State of Israel.

Kudos to Gil Stein, a local attorney, for making known the following condensed impassioned protest.

And, I have added a new few of my own remarks.
          “On March 15th, U.C. Santa Cruz hosted a conference entitled ‘Alternative Histories Within and Beyond Zionism’.  The conference was organized by Lisa Rofel, a professor of anthropology at UCSC. The event was co-sponsored by other university departments such as feminist studies, community studies, and sociology.
          There were five speakers, all Jewish, and all from different U.C. campuses, opposing Israel.  This was presented as an academic conference.  In fact, it was a political rally against Israel sponsored and paid for by the University of California”, which We The People subsidize.
          Why is this a concern?   It is just one more example of the arrogance of power!    Professors are educators and should teach and not exploit their power to promote their personal agenda.  When university resources are used to promote a particular political point of view, it concerns us all, and those educators are brainwashing our children!    It happened here with a deliberate attempt to promote and encourage an anti-semitic agenda.   All of the five anti-Zionist speakers had no contrary opinions.
          The event organizer asked the Chair of the Jewish Studies Program here at UCSC, Professor Murray Baumgarten to co-sponsor the event and even asked for a financial contribution.  This is like asking someone to help purchase the rope for his own hanging.  To his credit, Professor Baumgarten, volunteered to help secure other presenters who might add a more balanced viewpoint. But this was declined because the political agenda was already set.
          Israeli policy is simple.  It only wants the right to exist in peace.
          This conference was a deliberate attempt to indoctrinate students and others and to promote the concept that Israel has no right to exist.
          The University of California has a responsibility not only to the students and faculty, but to all Californians to refrain from promoting an ideology or personal agendas.  The university belongs to all of us and should not be used for the private use of its employees.  This is not an issue of academic freedom.  It is an issue of academic integrity and honesty.  Whether the indoctrination is from the left or the right, it is improper.  It needs to be stopped now!
          Way to go, Gil Stein.

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

My good friend Marcia sent this timely gem to me.

It was in Dale Carnegie's book "How To Win Friends and Influence People", and it is a simple way to make a good impression with these words of wisdom at Christmastime –

Let’s call it “The Value of a Smile at Christmas” –

A smile costs nothing, but creates much.
It enriches those who receive, without impoverishing those who give.
A smile happens in a flash and the memory of it sometimes lasts forever.
None are so rich they can get along without it, and none so poor but are richer for its benefits.
Again, a smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in a business, and is the countersign of friends.
Also, it is rest to the weary, daylight to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad, and Nature’s best antidote for trouble.
Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is no earthly good to anybody until it is given away!
And, if in the last-minute rush of Christmas buying some of our salespeople should be too tired to give you a smile, may we ask you to leave one of yours?
For nobody needs a smile so much as those who have none left to give!
So, if you want people to like you – Smile, smile, smile.

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

           Putting it mildly, I suspect the Supreme Court fell into a trap of agreeing to listen and make decisions about same sex marriage.

          The irony is that probably the members of the Supreme Court may have come to the realization that it is not their place to make that decision.

          Let me explain.

Dear Listeners,

          If you do not believe in the existence of God, just stop listening to me and move on to other of your issues.

          When God created the world, He began with Adam and Eve – a man and a woman.  They were exquisitely physically created to love each other and they learned how to make children.   They were married, and as time went by more and more people were created, and were married and made more and more children which filled the world with people.

          It is likely that while the world was being multiplied by men and women sometimes two men or two women learn to love each other and agree to be partners.   That was and is acceptable, and such partners should be respected and should legally be entitled to the same benefits as those partners who are in a one male and one female arrangement called marriage.

          Through centuries all went smoothly until recently the two men and the two women arrangements decided that they wanted their union to also be called a marriage.

          Physically if God would accept that arrangement, then His plan for the world of humans – many humans would not exist.  So, two men or two women can never be accepted in a marriage.

          Until they can figure out a way to create children to fill the world with people, they can never be called married.  For that logical reason, I cannot see how the members of our Supreme Court can ever rule unions of two men or two women to be called a marriage, because God would never condone that, and the Supreme Court can never overrule God.

          So, the best thing the Supreme Court should do would be to create some elegant different name for same sex marriages and then turn to other really important issues to deal with.

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

          I wrote this in January 2006, and it is in my book.

On the philosophical discussion of, what’s it all about Alfie, evolutionists, who have had easy access to public classrooms now vigorously oppose that same access to believers of Intelligent Design, a newly coined phrase to describe and explain human existence conferred by a higher being, who many of us call God.  These are two separate valid theories, so why shouldn’t they both be discussed openly in classrooms?

Evolutionists contend that humans evolved first as a cluster of cells, which through millions of years became apes, then humanoids, then Neanderthals, and finally homo-sapiens – or human beings – with highly developed brains.

One can wonder at what point did the original cells separate and become male and female.  Evolution is a neat scientific theory which leaves important issues not addressed, and many of us reject it as incomplete.   How was the world itself created?

Proponents of Intelligent Design contend that God first created the world, then a man, and then the man’s companion, a woman, both exquisitely formed human creatures, who together learned how to reproduce themselves in their offspring.

Every single organ is so perfectly functional with brains like high-powered computers, protected in bone skulls, eyes to see, ears to hear, thumbs to grasp.

Every other organ which makes up a human being is so complex and equipped with deep emotions and sensitivity and the ability to reason.

All in all, the person is such a complex creature, that it is too simplistic to believe that it all came together by way of evolution.

Our country was founded on Judeo Christian principles.  Our Forefathers borrowed from the Ten Commandments and the Golden Rule and incorporated them with the Bill of Rights and the Constitution to create the greatest and most enduring democracy in the world despite complaints from secularists who are always offended and want to eradicate every public mention of God and religion.

“Merry Christmas” remains, and “In God we trust” will not be removed from our coins and currency.  So, to those complainants, I say “Get over it.”  If it’s too painful, check out Canada.

I believe both evolution and Intelligent Design should be taught, preferably in the college level.

I saved the best for last.  Think about it.  God has endowed every human being with a soul that will endure through eternity.  Does evolution believe in the existence of a soul?

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:
This commentary is in my book.  I did this in the Fall of 2009.
Thank you Gene Sanden for sending it to me.
I changed the end to acknowledge Almighty God.  Because I am Jewish, I believe there is only one God; however, I still love Jesus, a very special human being, because he taught the world about love, to love one another.   Such wisdom, and if we listened, the world would be a better place.   And now the prayer.
          Lord, I just want to say thank you –
Because this morning I woke up and knew where my children were;
Because this morning my home was still standing;
Because this morning I am not crying because my child, my brother or sister needs to be removed from underneath a pile of concrete;
Because this morning I was able to drink a glass of water;
Because this morning I was able to turn on the lights;
Because this morning I was able to take a shower;
Because this morning I was not planning a funeral, but most of all I thank you this morning
Because I still have life and a voice to cry out for the people of Haiti.
Lord, I cry out to You, who makes the impossible possible; the One who turns darkness into light; I cry out that You give those mothers strength; that You give them peace that surpasses all understanding; that You may open the streets so that help can come quickly; that You may provide doctors, nurses, food, water, and all that they need in the blink of an eye.   For all those who have lost family members, give them peace, give them hope, and give them courage, and continue to go on.  Protect the children and shield them with Your power.  I pray all this Almighty God in Your name.
          And also this from Gene, who suggested I read this interesting suggestion:
          It is an idea for Haiti’s government.   I heard on the news that Haiti is without a government.  To help them out, let us donate to them one Obama, one Pelosi, one Reid, one Frank, one Coakley, and two Clintons.  They can keep them permanently!   We can give them a Constitution, but I cannot find it easily right now.    Now, isn’t that a great idea?
          P.S. – About my recent mention of another Court case, re the Obama birth certificate, it was dismissed.  It was an old story.  Sorry.
          However, along with many other Americans, why do I have this lingering feeling that this story is not yet finished.

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

          I wrote this in February 2006, and it is in my book.

Can one ever forget the pictures of Saddam Hussein flashed on TV screens, being pulled out of the earthen hole looking like a cornered scared rat?  The once leader of Iraq reduced to filthy tattered clothes, dirty long stringy hair, and beard.  Our humane military pulled him out, gave him a bath and shampoo, and a warm cell.  They should have washed his tattered clothes and put them back on, and not touched his long hairdo.    Instead, he was given a stylish haircut, trimmed beard, and a designer suit to wear.  Big big mistake, because Saddam looked in the mirror, and then he lost his fear and humility.  He decided that he is still the leader of Iraq, and started throwing his weight around.  If he received special privileges also while languishing in jail, like a TV, there was have been another big big mistake.

When will we ever learn that animals like Saddam Hussein do not respond well to kindness, which they see as weakness?  They respond to chopped off hands and tongues.  What a shame that we are too civilized to have Saddam experience what he did to so many of his people for minor infractions.

Now, both Saddam Hussein and Zaccharias Moussowi, terrorists, are making mockeries out of their trials.  Both should be put into solitary confinement, and then put to death for their crimes.  But, that will not happen easily because our side is calling the shots.    Their trials will go on and on just so the world will see how fair and foolish we are.  It is all an exercise in futility because our country is too worried about our world image, and that will not change.  By generously helping and defending needy countries, we have made those recipients feel indebted so they dislike us.  That is another ironic flaw of human nature.  No one likes to feel indebted, so it is easier to find reasons to criticize and dislike.

So, what is the answer?  I don’t know if there is any answer.  Nevertheless, the U.S. will still continue to help those in need and hope for goodness and fairness to prevail in the world, and that is very good.

And, I am glad to be American.

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

          I wrote this in the Spring of 2010, and it is in my book.  It is a true logical gem.  Kudos to Rae Williams for sharing this.  It bears repeating.  Maybe Obama will put to sleep his agenda to change our free world into socialism.   But, it is unlikely.

          As the late Adrian Rogers said, “You cannot multiple wealth by dividing it.”

An economics professor at a local college, made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but recently he failed an entire class.  That class had insisted that Obama’s socialism worked, and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, and that is a great equalizer.

          The professor then said “OK, why don’t we have an experiment in this class on Obama’s plan.”  All grades will be averaged and everyone would receive the same the same grade, so no one would fail and no one would receive an A.   After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B.  The students who studied hard were upset, and the students who studied little were happy.

As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less, and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride, too, so they studied little.

          The second test average was a D (like in Dove).  No one was happy.

          When the third test rolled around, the average was an F (like in Fail).

          As the tests proceeded, the scores never increased as bickering, blame, and name calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else.

          All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great the effort to succeed is great, but when government takes all the reward away no one will try or want to succeed.

          It could not be any simpler than that.

          Remember, there is a test coming within the next couple of days – it will be a very crucial election for our Country.  Don’t forget to vote.

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

          I wrote this on 11-19-2005, and it is in my book.

Holy Moses and Jesus Christ – are undoubtedly the two most compelling moral figures of our current civilization, because they were chosen by God to deliver to the world His messages for the endurance of a good and ethical society.

History records that after God created the world, He also created different civilizations to occupy it one at a time.  Each civilization grew and evolved, and because of human lust and power, each gradually became so morally bankrupt that in disgust God decided to discard them and start all over again.

The present civilization is now showing unmistakable signs of so much moral decay that God may discard it, also.   He is very angry with many of us – witness the unusual and frequent abundant catastrophes our world is experiencing.

About six centuries ago, Moses was summoned by God to receive and disburse to His people, the Jews, His Ten Commandments, so that gradually their people would learn to worship God by living productively and morally.

Our civilization presently is being assaulted by many people who have rejected religion, rejected the family unit, who are trying vigorously to legalize same-sex marriage.

These same people created legislation to allow pregnant 12-year-old girls to obtain abortions without the knowledge of their parents.  Our society is going downhill rapidly.

Several centuries after God delivered to Moses His Commandments, a very special human being was born – His name was Jesus.  As a young adult, he told the people to “Love they neighbor, and turn the other cheek.”

These teachings of Jesus were so new and so foreign to a dog-eat-dog belligerent and destructive world that many embraced them and so Christianity was born.

About a couple of centuries ago, our nation, a democracy, was created by our forefathers and in their wisdom they combined the moral beliefs of both Judaism and Christianity as an ethical basis and mission statement for our incredible Country.  So, from its inception the United States has been and always will be a Judeo Christian nation.   We pray that our democracy will continue to prosper and endure despite the negative pressures of decadent godless forces in our midst.   So, God, please continue to bless America.
