The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

For many years, countless numbers of WW2 veterans living in Central California, also veterans of subsequent wars have yearned for the promised Fort Ord veterans cemetery to become a reality.  These veterans, many now in their 80s, are referred to as the Greatest Generation – my generation – because we were all involved, we were together as a nation, and victory in war was more achievable then than now when our nation is very polarized and not together.  And, many have yet to grasp the danger of world Islamic terrorism.

Now, finally, after 14 years, AB3035, the Bill to create that Fort Ord cemetery, has been passed, and for that kudos to State Senator J. Denham, Assemblyman S. Salinas, and Congressman Sam Farr.

The Central Coast State Veterans Cemetery Endowment Fund is now charged with acquiring the initial $4 million to proceed with this project.  The yearly maintenance fund for the cemetery, however, will be the responsibility of the State.

So, now, why don’t We The People use our creative thoughts and see how soon we can raise the necessary funds?

Kudos, also, to WW2 veteran Paul Ventura of Pebble Beach for caring so much for this project to become a reality that for years he kept the desire alive and now also he has various ideas about how to raise the funds needed.

If you would like to be involved in this project, call Paul Ventura at (831) 626-0377, or email Paul at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Let’s all get involved in this worthy and much wanted project.  It is a way for us to say to those veterans who fought for us “With deepest sincerity and appreciation, we thank you for the huge sacrifice you have made by putting your lives on the line for our nation.”

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

I wrote this in May 2008.

In the late 1920s when I was a child, I remember relatives and friends who yearned to go live in the Holy Land.  They went to the Middle East and purchased small parcels of land from various Arabs who were happy to dispose of their arid property.

Only after those Arabs saw that the Jews by creating drip irrigation, made their land blossom, those Arabs became envious, and tensions arose.  Those tensions still exist, and will never go away.

I was a young mother in my mid 20s when Israel became a State in around 1946, and suddenly the surrounding Arab countries were joining together to annihilate Israel for becoming a recognized State.

Israel urged those Arabs living peacefully among them to remain in their homes and be protected by the new State.  But, the Arab brethren urged them to leave, assuring them that the Israeli Jews would easily be crushed, and the Arabs could then return to their homes victorious and safe.

That never happened.  Since they chose to leave Israel, Israel no longer wanted them back.

So, what happened?  Those displaced Arabs were not taken in by their Arab brethren who lived in large wealthy oil countries, and could easily have absorbed them.  Instead, those Arab countries chose to keep the Israeli Arabs in camps indefinitely.

Why?   Specifically, to keep the displaced Arabs as political pawns, to make the world feel sorry for them, and hate Israel.  Then they admonished their displaced brethren to never accept the Palestinian State offered to them until Israel is destroyed.

That was more than 60 years ago.

They could have had their own country for the past many many years.  But, the stubborn Arabs still hope to throw Israel into the sea.  That has not happened yet, but who knows?   Surrounded by enemies, Israel is doomed to remain in a constant state of war.

It is a shame.  Israel is a tiny country, which can be traversed from north to south in eight hours, and east to west in three hours.

Ideally the Arabs should accept their Palestine now.  Next to Israel and both should live in peace and mutual respect.  The world will be much happier for it.

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

I wrote this in November 2005, and it is in my book.

To those listeners who do not believe in the existence of God, I respectfully suggest that you do not listen to this Commentary because it has no meaning for you.

Holy Moses and Jesus Christ are undoubtedly the two most compelling moral figures of our current civilization, because they were chosen by God to deliver to the world His messages for the endurance of a good and ethical society.  History records that after God created the world, He also created different civilizations to occupy it one at a time.  Each civilization grew and evolved, and because of human lust and power, each gradually became so morally bankrupt that in disgust God decided to discard them and start all over again.  The present civilization is now showing unmistakable signs of so much moral decay that God may discard it, also.

About six centuries ago, Moses was summoned by God to receive and disburse to His people, the Jews, His Ten Commandments, so that gradually all people would learn to worship God by living productively and morally – (like – not stealing, lying, killing, coveting – always honoring parents, etc. – in short, rules to live by to be good human beings).

Our civilization presently is being assaulted by many people who have rejected religion, rejected the family unit, and who are trying vigorously to legalize same-sex marriage.  These same people created legislation to allow pregnant 12-year-old girls to obtain abortions without the knowledge of their parents.

Our society is going downhill rapidly.   The wrong people are taking over, which does not bode well for continued existence of this civilization.

Despite all this, however, about a couple of centuries ago, our nation, a democracy, was created by our Forefathers and in their wisdom they combined the moral beliefs of both Judaism and Christianity as an ethical basis and mission statement for the incredible new Country.

So, from its conception the United States has been and always will be a Judeo Christian nation.   We pray that our democracy will continue to prosper and endure despite the negative pressure of decadent godless forces in our midst.   So God, please continue to bless America!

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

A very generous KSCO radio listener who knew we all would be interested, sent me the following current information.  His name is Kelly C. Tuttle, and his amateur radio license call is WB6AAJ – and for all we listeners, I say “Thank you Kelly.”

This is called:  A little government control history.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control.  From 1929-1963, about 20 million dissidents unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

In 1911, Turkey established gun control.   From 1915-1917, 1.5 million Armenians unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

Germany established gun control in 1938, and from 1939-1945 a total of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

China established gun control in 1935.   From 1948-1952, 20 million political dissidents unable to defend themselves were rounded up and exterminated.

Thereafter, we can mention Guatemala same thing, Uganda same thing, Cambodia same thing, and no doubt many other countries.

Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th century because of gun control – the amount is 56 million people.

You will not see this data in the U.S. evening news, or hear politicians disseminating this information.

Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property – and yes – gun control laws adversely affect only the law-abiding citizens.

Take note, my fellow Americans, before it is too late.

The next time someone talks in favor of gun control, please remind them of this history lesson.

With guns we are citizens; without them we are subjects!

During WW2, the Japanese decided not to invade America because they knew most Americans were armed.

Switzerland issues every household a gun.  Switzerland’s government trains every adult they issue a rifle to.  Switzerland has the lowest gun-related crime rate of any civilized country in the world.

It is a no-brainer!   Do not let our government waste millions of our tax dollars in an effort to make all law-abiding citizens an easy target.

Spread the word everywhere you can that you are a firm believer in the Second Amendment.

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

I wrote this eight years ago and it is relevant now.  It is in my book.  Also, we have many new listeners since KGO went kaput for which I am grateful.  And, both listeners may now be able to listen to my Commentaries.

While sitting in a doctor’s waiting room recently, I reached for a magazine and four large words jumped out at me.  They were “Live happily ever now.”   I thought, wow – most of us tend to go through our allotted years thinking of the time when we can live happily ever after.  Like, if I get a new job, or if I get to own a house, or a nice car, or if I get to travel a lot, or maybe get a windfall of money, then I will be happy.    Not wise.  After all, all we each have is now.   And, now is all we will ever have.  So, let’s try to be Happily Ever Now.

This is about Jewish humor, and Jewish inebriation – and that means getting drunk.   Around the Middle Ages, Jews made sure to always remain sober and aware because they had been the hated scapegoats for being money lenders, and especially they were considered pariahs for rejecting Jesus as being divine and as being the Messiah.

The Old Testament states that when the Messiah finally arrives, the world and everyone will be good and peace will prevail.  I still believe that Jesus was a special extraordinary human because He knew that love was the answer.

Jews have suffered all sorts of indignities and have learned early on that education was most important because knowledge is power, and secondly that the hate they endured allowed them to survive because of another most important ingredient in life and that is humor.   If one can endure with humor, one can survive almost anything.  The topic of humor is an excellent segway into a joke I am going to tell you right now:

A Rabbi and a Priest in the same town were friends.  They met once a week to go bicycling together.  One day the Priest was waiting in the usual place, and the Rabbi came but without his bicycle.  He told his friend the Priest that it was not where he usually put it so it was probably stolen.  The Priest paused a moment and then said to the Rabbi “I have an idea.  This coming Friday night when you deliver your sermon, why don’t you make your subject the Ten Commandments, and when you get to the point where it says ‘Thou shalt not steal’, perhaps the thief will be listening and be remorseful and return your bike.”

So the following week when it was time for the buddies to meet, the Rabbi arrived with his bike.  Elated, the Priest said “See, I told you that when you read the Ten Commandments that ‘Thou shalt not steal’ it would work and you would get your bicycle back, and you did.”

The Rabbi replied “Well, it was not exactly that way.  I did give my sermon, but when I came to the part that says ‘Thou shalt not commit adultery’, I remembered where I left my bike.”

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

This is part of a large Commentary that I wrote in March 2008, all about the United Nations:

The United Nations is after taxes again.  They blame the USA and people who could be taxed and leached upon while their communist friends in China, India, or South Korea can pollute the air all day and all night.   Well, the capitalist smoke really bothers them, but not the marijuana smoke – first or second hand.

15,000 Global Warming jihadists, the environmental activists with their chief alarmist Al Gore, met in Bali a while ago to urge all nations to hurry up and sign the new treaty.  It is like a band of bank robbers – hurry up before they find out that we have looted them.

The media continues to neglect to mention that President Bush will not sign the Kyoto Agreements because the world’s worst polluters, China and India, are exempt from cleaning up their filth.

Who do you think paid for this nice winter vacation for most of the delegates?  The U.N. – from money they collected for the Indonesian tsunami victims.  They collected over $1 billion (with a B), and gave out less than $100 million, so they are having a good time on your donations.

The U.N. also wants to highjack the internet domain registration control from the U.S. so countries like Russia, China, Iran, Venezuela, and others could block internet travel not approved by the dictators.

The United Nations, under the L.O.S.T. Treaty, wants to control the seas all around the world, and the minerals and oil in the sea beds, tax the resources and distribute it among third-world countries.  The Robin Hoods of New York, the U.N., will get a very handsome commission, plus the control where our Navy can sail or not sail.   We are totally sick of this United Nations mafia.

Kudos to you Zolton for shining a light on much of this important information.

Isn’t it time for We the People to direct our government to resign from the United Nations, which we have tolerated and subsidized for more than 60 years?   They routinely veto whatever our U.S. representatives recommend and have leached upon us long enough.   Clearly, their agenda is to rule the world.  America – Please Wake Up before it’s too late!

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

In the early 1930s when Hitler became leader of Germany, his first Law was to take the guns away from the people, so the Jews went quietly to the ovens, six million of them, including my maternal uncle and his family.  I was a child at that time.

I am a vigorous opponent of gun control because it is naïve and stupid to believe that taking guns away from citizens will eliminate or lessen crimes – that is nuts!

Listen to the following news from Australia, which underscores the folly of taking guns away from the people.  This is dated 3-5-2006, and it is from Ed Chenel, a Police officer in Australia:

“Hi Yanks, I thought you would like to see the real figures from Down Under.  It has now been 6 months since gun owners in Australia were forced by a new law to surrender 640,381 personal firearms to be destroyed by our own government, a program costing Australian taxpayers more than $500 million.

The first year’s results are in now:

Australia-wide, homicides are up 8.2%.   Australia-wide, assaults are up 9.6%.  Armed robberies are up 44% – yes, 44% in the State of Victoria alone.  Homicides with firearms are now up 300%, and that while the law-abiding citizens turned them in, the criminals did not, and criminals still possess their guns.

While figures over the previous 25 years showed a steady decrease in armed robbery with firearms, this has changed drastically upward in the past 12 months since the criminals now are guaranteed that their victims are unarmed.  There have also been dramatic increases in break-ins and assaults of the elderly while the resident is in the home.

Australian politicians are at a loss to explain how public safety was decreased after such monumental efforts, and expenses are expended in successfully ridding Australia of guns.  You will not see this in the American evening news, or hear your Governor or members of the State Assembly disseminating this information, because they have an idiotic mental block.

The Australian experience speaks for itself.  Guns in the hands of honest citizens save lives and property, and gun control laws affect only the law-abiding citizens.  It is a no brainer!  Take note Americans before it is too late.  Remember guns do not kill people – people kill people.  Put another way, when guns are outlawed, only outlaws will have guns!
Please forward this information to everyone you know.  Do not be a member of the silent majority.  Be one of the vocal minority who will not let this happen in the USA.”

The following is a KSCO commentary.  Here is Kay Zwerling:

I wrote this story about my mother in 1981, two years after her death.  I was studying clinical philosophy at that time, a new discipline, which was deep, personal, and analytical, and while I was still missing my mom, I thought about her a great deal then.

Parents and children have powerful and intimate relationships and perspectives about each other – sometimes positive, sometimes negative, and sometimes neutral.  Here I reveal my mother through my own appreciation of being a child, a parent, and a grandparent.   I address a philosophical problem, that of finding a sense of groundedness in response to the universal human problem of the abyss – that is, the lack of meaning and aloneness – or nothingness.  My mother found her ground in God, and in so many ways, now I do, too.

This is called “My Mother’s Ground”.

She came to America from Greece in 1912, or thereabouts, at the age of 16.  The fourth in a family of six children, quite poor, she had been a young schoolteacher in her village.  Her sister and brother-in-law living in New York sent her the money to join them in the land of hope and opportunity.

She met and married my father, had three children, became a widow at 42.  With the three of us married, or gone soon after, she remained alone in the big house, and somehow managed to make the money last.

We worried and wondered at her aloneness every night.  She would say to me “God will take care of me, I’m not afraid.”  God was my mother’s ground.

An invalid for six years, and in need of continual custodial care, my 82-year-old mother spent her final years in a local convalescent home.  At times, she was amazingly alert – other times, forgetful.  Most often, strangely peaceful and content.  In the early days of her confinement, she would often ask in bewilderment “Por que el Dios mi hizo esto ” (Why did God do this to me?)

Interestingly, after her second stroke, she communicated almost exclusively in Spanish, her native tongue, despite the fact that she had been quite articulate in English.

What made it possible for my mother to face each day with valor, even a smile?  Her philosophy, which she affirmed each day when we were together, and that was every day, “Todo lo que hace Dios es para bien” (Everything that God does is for good).  God was my mother’s ground.

In a way, I envied her very much, but I do not believe she ever allowed herself to see the abyss.  She chose very early in her life to insulate herself from the anxiety of nihilism by a total and daily commitment to the will of God.

What a fascinating and incongruous polarity of personality was my mother:   A most gentle benign imposition of an iron will in areas concerning her children, and a personal complete and total surrender to the will of God.  Indeed, God was my mother’s ground.
