Researchers looked 1.6 million women over a 15 year period studying the pill, vaginal rings, intrauterine devices, subcutaneous implants, skin patches and intramuscular injections (Depo shots). Finding that any of the measures containing estrogen were linked to increased risk of heart attack and stroke.
