Monologue
Dr. Wallach starts the show discussing a news story concerning the Illinois state Medicaid program. Apparently due to budget cuts the state is cutting the pharmacy program and will no longer help pay for prescriptions for the elderly and poor. Doc asserts this will continue to happen across the country. Recommending that people contact their Youngevity associate and get an FDI pharmacy card that provides big discounts on prescriptions, lab tests and hearing aids.

Doug Winfrey and Dr. Wallach discuss a news article concerning two new blood thinner drugs. The drugs Pradaxa and Xarelto have been linked to an increased risk of death. In fact in 2011 the FDA there were 542 deaths associated with Pradaxa drugs reported to the FDA. There was no data available for Xarelto that was approved in November of 2011. Compared to 72 deaths associated to warfarin approved back in the 1950s.
