Interesting show. I see nothing wrong with studying Marx's theory; especially in the way Rotkin teaches it. Even if one feels that Marxist theory is bad, it's good to at least know what it's about. To be informed. At worse, to know the nature of what you are up against. At best, maybe there was some valuable critique of economics in Marx's writing that can be useful; especially keeping in mind that places like the Soviet Union were based on failed distortions of those ideas.

Rotkin's teaching method sounds good not overwhelming the students with too much reading, but reading small sections and having discussion of how this relates to student's own experiences including criticisms that they may have.
