Due to the increased number of cases of Distemper being found in coyotes and raccoons in Santa Cruz county, people are strongly encouraged to get their pets vaccinated against Distemper. Although the cases were initially mostly being found on the west side of Santa Cruz…..now they’re being seen on the eastside too. Reportedly most veterinarians and the Santa Cruz County Animal Service can administer the distemper vaccine.
