A conservation group is calling on Monterey County officials to increase visibility and decrease motorist speeds at an otter crossing in Moss Landing. The crossing on Moss Landing Road near Highway 1 was recently redone to make room for pedestrians on the shoulder of the road. But advocates say the new bump is not nearly as visible as the previous one and doesn’t encourage people to slow down.
