Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Fresno woman on charges of identity theft and possession of stolen property on Sunday. Erika Murphy allegedly broke into a car in Live Oak, stole credit cards and used them to buy gas and pay for a Watsonville hotel room. Deputies found Murphy at the hotel and, when they searched the room, found the stolen credit cards as well as checks and identity cards from the Kingsburg and Lodi areas.
