Ice Skating by the beach is now open at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk. The Boardwalk’s “Holiday Ice” event will operate through Jan. 6, and Santa will be there Friday and Saturday in his sleigh through December 23 plus Christmas Eve.
This is the second year the amusement park is offering ice skating by the beach. The skating rink is covered, and at 32-feet by 90 feet is larger this year than last.
Admission to Holiday Ice and movies, crafts and photo ops are free. Skating costs $14.95 per hour, skates included; reservations are recommended because sessions fill up during popular times.
