authorities in monterey county have released the identities of the 2-victims of a fatal wreck, which occurred Sunday afternoon on highway-1. 37-year-old humberto de la torre was being pursued by CHP officers, when he smashed into a motorcycle being driven by 39-year-old katherine hawley. Both died at the scene (near Salinas road). The incident, including the decision to pursue the suspect at high speeds, is under investigation.
