A pod of Humpback Whales have already been spotted in the Monterey Bay. They are apparently here to feed on small bait fish, such as sardines and anchovies. Usually Humpback Whales don’t get here (from their breeding grounds in Mexico) until summertime, and they stay in the area until the fall.
