A human skeleton was found last week in Santa Cruz County. Authorities say the remains were discovered Friday by a utility worker working in a wooded area near Smith Grade Road and Warren Drive. Investigators have not yet determined the person’s gender or age. Meanwhile, a Santa Cruz County sheriff’s deputy says they are still looking into whether the body was related to recent homicides or missing person cases in the county.
