The state is weighing the increased need for more housing, against the risk of devastating wildfires. T o that end, California Attorney General Xavier Becerra is backing some lawsuits opposing a number of large suburban development projects planned in several “Very High Wildfire Severity Zones” around the state. He says that preventing wildfires beats building more housing in certain areas of the state…..especially when the Environmental Impact Reports for the projects have not taken a possible wildfire in that area into account.
