Hospitality workers are holding a rall y in support of a proposed ordinance. The legislation proposed by the Monterey County Board of Supervisors would guarantee recall rights for hospitality workers laid off during the pandemic. It would also guarantee the right for workers to get their former jobs back. Up to 90 percent of hotel workers are out of work nationally.
