The 50-bed wintertime Salvation Army Homeless Shelter on Laurel Street in Santa Cruz is scheduled to close April 15th. The seasonal shelter is one of 3 such shelters in Santa Cruz county. The other 2 are in the Live Oak area of Santa Cruz, and in Watsonville. Nearly 90 people are expected to be displaced once all 3 shelters close for the season.
