A homeless services provider and local activist in Santa Cruz was stabbed over the weekend. Brent Adams, who operates the Warming Center Program And Footbridge Services Center, said that if it weren’t for the fact that the blade was short (and had to go through multiple layers of clothing), he could have been wounded much more severely. Adams said he was attacked after a fairly terse back-and-forth with a man near his Felker Street office late Saturday night. Adams has been released from the hospital.
