The Santa Cruz River Street homeless camp will see an extension through August while city staff work to find an interim homeless shelter site. Efforts to find a temporary site were slowed by residents who protested having a shelter near their homes. If no site is identified by the city council reconvenes on Aug. 14, residents of the River Street Camp will need to leave in two weeks.
