Santa Cruz police arrested a man following a probation search on Thursday. The incident took place when Anti-Crime Task Force officers performed a probation compliance search of 43 year old Juan Lopez’s tent at the homeless encampment. The search uncovered 69 grams of heroin, 42 grams of methamphetamine, and a digital scale, as well as 13 hundred dollars in cash. Lopez was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail.
