Record-Breaking Science Fiction Author Ann Leckie on It’s A Question of Balance with Ruth Copland

Record-breaking winner of all the major science fiction awards – the Hugo, Nebula, Arthur C. Clarke, and Locus – Ann Leckie has a huge, enthusiatic fan following of her Imperial Radch Trilogy: Ancillary Justice, Ancillary Sword, and Ancillary Mercy. Ruth Copland talks to Ann about her life, art, and her new book Provenance. Ann has worked as a waitress, a receptionist, a rodman on a land-surveying crew, and a recording engineer. She lives in St. Louis, Missouri. She has also published short stories in Subterranean Magazine, Strange Horizons, and Realms of Fantasy. Her story “Hesperia and Glory” was reprinted in Science Fiction: The Best of the Year, 2007 Edition edited by Rich Horton.
