While responsible gun ownership is extremely important and education on guns may help lessen the violence there is another side to this discussion. Many of the people who commit these crimes not only have a history of mental illness but have been prescribed medications that are known to have suicidal or homicidal side effects. We need to rethink the way we treat mental disorders and hold drug companies accountable for the drastic side effects of these medications. It is unacceptable to prescribe a drug that has side effects which can endanger the safety of innocents!

I agree with Tony, and the real problem is with the big Pharma dollars in DC controlling these politicians. It's obvious to almost everyone they protect their interest by shifting the blame to guns. DC has always protected the interest of the pharmaceutical industry, look at all the guidelines and laws they've passed limiting the average person from any real recourse, and the odds are against us.

Overall the cause is the psychotropic drugs that are the root behind these violent behaviors. Schools recommend to the parents that they should put their children on these mood swing drugs because they are over active or disruptive, even anti social, and as the child gets older, they start having mixed feeling about their existence and purpose from taking these drugs. Were seeing just the beginning of the effects on the young. These drug interactions play havoc on the complex neuro systems of the brain. The solution from DC is to blame it on guns.

Dr. Wallach has the solution. People who are completely nutrified are not violent.

Violent crime has declined dramatically in the US over the last 10 years.

Only in the last year has there been a slight 1.9% increase.

Violent crime is being used as a political football to usurp the rights of US citizens. The Answer? Ignore the media outlets who exploit tragedy to promote dependence, and defend your right to defend yourself.

You saw my remarks last week as unfit for posting when I basically predicted what Drudge had no problem with linking to today:

You obviously support at the very least the mental-health-database portion of the fascist agenda which I also pointed out.
