Solar Fireworks
Planet Earth was not the only one lighting fireworks in our Solar System over New Years Eve. There were some magnificent "fireworks" on the Sun on New Years eve over a four hour period. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory captured video of the solar eruptions.
