My husband just went through a federal trial for 3 missing grouper from a boarding in 2007 while he was running a longline boat out of Cortez Florida. Grand jury indictment, ICE officers at my door. Charges of Obstruction of Justice and Disposing of Evidence, because the 69 fish at the dock were not the exact measurements as the 72 fish off shore, duh, fish off shore frozen, fish at dock thawed. These fish averaged 1/2 short (when frozen) 19 month case, hard to say how much money spent chasing 3 missing fish. 5 years of our lives, and 3 more to go through appeal. These people have no shame.

I think we all need to go to the grand opening of the sanctuary building that is opening soon by the Board walk. We need to make our point with all the media that will be there. What a huge
embarrassment that would be for them. Their big day and BAM! people calling ABUSE! ..........Anyone??????

I cannot believe NOAA has enough funds to spend on a few guy out for safety, this is the Monterey Bay area the waves here are world class and should be accessable to people who want to surf them. It seems to be they have been using jet ski's for years and there was no evidence birds were leaving the area and otters were washing up dead from jet ski's. Let it go NOAA, allow jetski's for safety and still have the zones for people who just want to ride and are unfamiliar how to operate!! Plus couldn't the money be spent on better issues??????
