A capitola resident was able to thwart a burglary monday. The capitola road resident found a man attempting to take property from his home at 11:30 a.m. the resident shouted, and the man fled. The resident was able to recover his property after assaulting the robber. a responding capitola police detective was able to arrest 30-year-old Andrew brieno. He is facing multiple charges, including suspicion of burglary.
