Officials with Hollister Police have announced an arrest of a person suspected of carjacking.
Santiago Cavazos was arrested last week on charges of the sale of illicit drugs, was booked, released, and then arrested again for stealing a motor vehicle when officers realized the vehicle he crashed wasn’t his.
The vehicle he stole was unreported as the owner did not know about the loss until being notified that it was involved in a collision.
Cavazos was booked into the San Benito County Jail.
